Sometimes it’s easier to stick to your own clique than to try and meet new people. I have learned that some people are just very cliquey and don’t want to make new friends. Although being part of clubs and organizations generally help add new people and new connections such as the case here.
Have to admit, I barely know half the staff at the conventions I been going to for years… to be fair they’re hours away and I never attend staff meetings, just kinda show up day of. Well, day before, typically.

I wouldn’t use the word “clique” in this case so much as there are some people who are introverted or socially uncomfortable talking to random people.
