There’s a part of me that can’t help but think of Dash-Con and its “magical” crowdfunding of $17,000 for hotel fees within an hour after the convention had already started.
Of course, I suspect full convention expenses can run much, much larger than that after you factor in guest fees, insurance payments, equipment costs, and all kinds of other little transactions. Running a convention is expensive!
